September 11: Never Forget

As each year passes, it is easy to move on for some. However, for the families, friends and other who lost someone, the wounds are still open and fresh. As someone who grew up in the shadow of the World Trade Center in North Jersey, it still sometimes feels surreal. There's one particular corner in Belleville, the two where I grew up, where you have a perfect view of the New York City skyline. Whenever I pass that corner, especially in the days after the the towers fell, it always just never felt right.

I hope everyone stops for a moment this morning or during the day and say a prayer for those who lost their lives, those who lost someone, those who server in the military, police, fire fighters, emergency workers, first responders and those who continue to remember. Promise to never forget as the years pass.

God Bless The United States of America
