What Inspires You?
This question was posed in a recent email advertisement I received. Even though it was just an ad, it really is an interesting question.
What inspires me? The smell of moving water in a stream. Being outside on a nice day. The muffled sound of a snowfall. Just enjoying the quiet.
All these things allow me to clear my mind from the day-to-day clutter that clogs my creative energy. It is always hard to shake off the day and spin, crochet, knit, weave or felt and develop original ideas. However, this simple question reminds us all that we should take the time to find out what our inspiration could be and how it can help a creative spark.

What inspires me? That varies on a daily basis. It can be something as simple as my daughter's laughter or the colours of a leaf. Other times it's the materials I work with and sometimes it's just something inside that has to come out.

My inspiration comes from the various goals in my life--school, medieval reenactment, and teaching overseas. I cannot stand to be a "hamster in the wheel", so to speak...
