One of my purchases at the Sheep and Wool Festival at Rhinebeck, NY was a lovely Ann Grout supported spindle. This is my first supported spindle and I am hoping to get to use it this week. The "turnip" as it is called was an easy choice to make based on its beauty and its price! The ladies at the Steam Valley Fiber booth were very nice and helpful when making a selection. I have been doing lots of research on how to use a supported spindle and am looking forward to learning this skill!

I'll be sure to keep you all posted on my progress. I think I'll try using the Icelandic fiber that I picked up at the festival.
